So, because I'm being a responsible adult after my shower I have FH take my car to come pick me up in Forest Hill. (We live in Etobicoke). On the way home - at the bottom of High Park a crazy 65 yr old granny wearing SLIPPERS to drive, runs into my car! HARD! She caused a ton of damage to my car - pretty much took out my bumper, damaged the foundation of the car so badly that it won't close... and to top it off - broke one of my beautiful platters I just recieved at my shower that was in my trunk! I am PEEVED! Soooooo, now I get to spend my Sunday taking this to the Accident Reporting Centre and I have a migraine... the shower was awesome but this just put a complete damper on my day...

Here are some pics I took after the accident....

Rules people:

1) Don't blame fake "bicylers" for you causing an accident.

2) Don't even bother with your "I'm having an asthma attack" fake sympathy story.

3) Don't even try to attempt the "You had to have damaged it before because my cars barely damaged" story.

4) Don't drive in SLIPPERS!

5) Watch what the heck you are driving towards... remember brake is on the LEFT!

Some people should NOT be given licences!

Are you okay?

That sucks that your day had to end with such a bad bang.  What happens at an accident reporting center?  We don't have those.

Fallend,

I've got a throbbing migraine and possibly a minor concussion but nothing too serious. *sigh*

At an Accident Reporting Centre you simply give them all the details of the accident - when, where, how and then the insurance information for both parties, their drivers licences, etc. It's like filling out a police report. Except here, if there is no property damage or serious injury you just have to go to a Reporting Centre within 24hrs after the accident.

Sidenote - No Fault Insurance is CRAP for those who aren't at fault!

I'm so sorry Scotbride that something like this had to happen and put a damper on your day.......here's the silver lining.....

Had you been driving and in the same place at the same time, after even a few drinks, you might have been charged with impaired and held responsible.  Crappy things happen.......try not to let it dampen all the wonderful things happening in your life right now.....a wedding in that gorgeous Maggie Sottero, and another one in Scotland (can't wait to see that dress)......you're a lucky girl, who just happens to have a busted up car, lol.
