I have been thinking about this for awhile now... so I thought I would tell you all about it and see what you think.  I was thinking that I would line the dance floor with a few large sparklers in some really pretty metal baskets with sand.  During our first dance I was going to have our wedding party lite them all at once.  I ran it past FI and he says sounds nice.. but I don't know yet.  What do you think?  Has anyone used them before?

I am going to have firecrackers burst when we walk onto the dance floor for our first song (I want some more pirtechnics but that's it for now)

I was thinking maybe have firecracker display at the end of the night but getting 500 poeple outside in a timely manner may be difficult

I like the idea of sparklers during your first dance.  Can I steal it?   Instead of pots to hold them, why not have your parents and wedding party hold them.

At my FH's cousins wedding as they introduced the parents and wedding party they lit candles from a base candle on the head table.  When the B&G were announced they did the first dance with everyone surrounding them with the candles.  It was so pretty.

Happily, giggly married on October 28th, 2006

Hey I love the idea of the sparklers but maybe it would be better in baskets on pillars..I am thinking loose clothing..It might be a fire hazard..Is your wedding out side?

I also love the idea of Fireworks..Do you have a price for that because I heard that it is quite costly ..off the top of my head I imagine a min of 3000? At my venue it had a wraparound balcony and golf course behind so It really is an ideal spot for fireworks...

My wedding is inside..

I really like the idea of the wedding party holding them, or even our kids.. but.. FH doesn't.  I am not to worried about loose clothes seeing as its just going to be FH and I and were not doing  waltz or anything fancy.

Please elaborate about the basket and pillar idea.. I am curious!

Feel free to take the idea all you want.. I think it would be awesome!
