I just need tell someone how I feel...cause every time I tell FH his answer is "we are going to pull it off..don't worry", we just bought a house in November, so bills have been coming in...there is so many...and the heat bills!!!OMG!!!

Now it's time to pay for everything..all the little decorations, the hall, the honeymoon, I just don't fell like we have enough money...well my dad is paying for half of our honeymoon..but what about the other half???? Then there is food, we have an open bar so buy all the drinks...where the hell am I going to get this much money.

I tried to save money as much as I could, I pretty much made everything myself...and still...no money!!!!!

How are you ladies pulling all of this off????

Hi Dijana,

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling stressed about this!

I realise that as nice as it would be to provide an open bar to your guests, sometimes that ends up being the largest expense! Is there any way you could cut costs there? Say, offer a few "signature" drinks (ex: martinis, belinis) for your guests to choose from? Or perhaps make the trip across the border and pick up some alcohol.

My only other recommendations would be to perhaps apply for a small line of credit *if it really gets desperate*, and to shop on ebay!

Good luck darlin'... money sure is frustrating sometimes!

how are we pulling it off.. well.. so far we haven't put anything on a credit card (except for themugs for our bombinnieres), and we're both broke right now.  Luckily, we have a small break in wedding stuff right now, so we can get back on the saving wagon.  I'm also looking into a new job that thankfully pays one hell of a lot more than what I'm making now - so if I get that job, it will really help out the situtation.. we're worried about when we have to pay everyone that month before the wedding.. kind of like you.. not looking forward to it. but I'm sure if we needed the help, Mr.Credit Card would be glad to help us out..

hey ladies...Liss the open bar cut is not an option, we come from different culture and country and it would be an offence to our guest if they had to pay for their drinks..it is quite different.
Yes I know credit cards!!!!That is what I am afraid off, charging most of the things on the credit card, not being able to pay it off after the wedding etc.
but right now it's our only option. Well I have to go and pick up our rings this weekend and that's another $400 expense...credit card must love it!

Not sure how we are going to pull it all off either!! Maybe the money fairy will visit me in my sleep. I know it is going to be hard but I know for us we can pull it off, we always do somehow.

I understand what you're going through..  I started to get really stressed out about the money, so I decided to stop thinking about it..  So right now I'm in a state of denial: Money? bah, we'll see what happens..

I am suffering from the same thing.  FH does not get it.  He thought that the wedding (ceremony) was free, I told him that the preist asctually will not ask for money but a donation is EXPECTED, and you can't just give $20.00 and call it a day, they are usually 200-500.

He also does not understand that my dress is to be included in the budget, the honeymoon, he just thinks it is the reception (meal and booze) and invitations (I WISH!!!!)  uuuurrrrrrgggg!

I need to plant a money tree, anybody know if I can find one on ebay?  preferably one that sprouts the 100.00 bills???
