Are you having a stag n doe? They usually bring in some $$$$.  Check out  some of the ideas from other ladies who had really successful stag n does.

Stressing about it doesnt change anything. It will only make you ill.  You have plenty of time to keep saving money for the wedding. Chin up, it will be ok.

We got a line of credit for the entire estimated amount of the wedding.  We first charge everything to an airmiles credit card and then pay it off with the line of credit.  By the time the wedding comes, we should have loads of airmiles to help with the honeymoon.

Each month we make payments to the line of credit and because we have 14 months, a large portion will be paid off before the day even rolls around.  For instance, we booked the hall last month and have already paid off the deposit.  We are even able to put extra money on the line of credit (like when we get back our income taxes) so we can save up some extra money before the big costs come in.

Well we're pulling it off cause every August/September is our fiscal year end and luckily I get a substantial bonus at this time; and it just so happens that my bonus this year is pretty much exactly 1/2 of what FH and I are responsible for... so I'm just putting it straight away and FH will deposit the same amount into the account and then we won't have to worry about it! and all of our $$$ from Stag and Shower is going straight onto our house

Hey,

Good luck with this.  A wedding is something you do not want to go too far in debt to have.  Please watch your spending.  It may mean you have to live without some things for a while.  Also cut back on expenses by doing you homeowkr.  Shop around, and look for coupons.  Consider borrowing or renting items as much as possible.

Good luck.

So far we've paid off everything except for the reception and photographer, which we can pay off. (wedding is next month, and honeymoon in Italy)

The way we did it, since we've got engaged last March, we opened up a joint account and put in $1000 each every month.  We bought and paid things throughout the year. ie. bought our wedding bands two months after we got engaged, ..my suggestion is you pay and get the small things out of the way.

Try to avoid credit cards,,,you don't want to be in debt after your wedding.

I understand what you're going through..  I started to get really stressed out about the money, so I decided to stop thinking about it..  So right now I'm in a state of denial: Money? bah, we'll see what happens..
