OK I am a smidge embarassed I need some help what exactly is the receiveing line? Is it when you leave the church and everyone throws the "rice" or whatever? If it is how do you end up being the last one out? when the ceremoney is done you are the first people to leave the church so how is everyone to throw the stuff or blow the bubbles? Thanks Ladies

| Usually what you do is leave the church first and then stand outside the door in a line with both sets of parents and as guests exit the church they go down the line. This gives guests the opportunity to meet the other partener and both sets of parents if they haven't already (usually people just tell you how gorgeous you look). This also allows the bride and grrom to thank everyone who's attended the ceremony. We're not having a receiving line as we're having a small wedding both ceremony and reception in the same location, and most everyone already knows everyone. We're just visiting each of the tables at dinner instead.

| We are having one, a small one. After we enter we will stand at the front and do our introductions. It will be Me, My mom, and my dad (and maybe my Nanny) and FH, His mom, dad and step dad. Its just the time where everyone can congragulate all of you

Hey Hun.. the receiving line is at the reception site .. usually before everyone goes into the reception area (where the tables are).. after the ceremony, you can DH are the first to leave, but you usually go to a room or an area and wait until everyone is out of the church, etc and then come out.. that's when they can throw stuff at you..
