We recently bought a home and I am in the throws of looking for decor inspirations, furniture, and paint colours to help make our house a home. The furniture/decor selection in my town is VERY poor so I am relying on internet sites and catalogues for inspiration. What catalogues and websites have you found helpful?  bonus: ones that will deliver in Canada!

Also, feel free to post favorite decor items, furniture, colours etc.

THANKS!

I like looking at Ikea catalogues and their website to be honest to get some ideas especially now that we are moving and I want our daughter to have a really cool playroom.

Some stores also have like displayed areas where you can walk into them and you feel like you are in a kitchen or a living room. Those always give me inspiration.

there is always Ikea, really cheap stuff but they have inspiration pics and deliver some stuffs. http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/ click on bedroom kitchen living room whatever room you want to look at and below the main pic that pops up is other inspiration pics.

other than that you can always go to like designers websites and look at their work for inspiration. http://designinc.ca/tr/ shows their rooms and is a very different style than ikea.

http://benjaminmoore.com/?lang=en_CA is Benjamin Moore Paints website and has inspiration, im sure other paint companies all have the same. im particularly fond of the 2008 modern tranquility #1

as for my favourite pieces there are too many too count and i can never remember the names anyway. and it really depends on the look you are going for. The Barcelona Chair is a classic, though getting a tad over done these days.

Invitations (sans info) done, and thats it.......

The Behr paint company website has a really neat colour picking feature - you can choose a room (i.e. bedroom, living room, etc.) and then choose a colour scheme, and play with different colours on different walls, etc. - or one colour for walls, another for doors/trim, etc. - check it out. I used it when DF and I were picking colours for our first apartment a few years ago (we live together and have for a long time) and I love it!

2 B Wed July 10, 2009!
Me (29) + FH (32) + his son (12) = 9.5 years together

Done so far:
Asked wedding party, decided on venue (Miller Lash), got catering quotes, decided theme, brainstorming details, started dress search, hired kicka$$ planner, made vendor lists, fought with FMIL, made up with FMIL, lost e-ring, found e-ring... only 10 mos to go!
