Congratulations Diana on your 1 year anniversary!

Well DH and I decided to go camping last night (on a whim) and it was fun. We ended up packing up early (6:00am) this morning and coming home because of the wind. Now my house is in disarray and smells like campfire...but I'm not ready to put it all away yet...lol. It was fun nevertheless, an adventure!

Brenda called me yesterday to give me another update on Jaxon. He is doing like SUPER well- and is eating more and has even breastfed. YEY! I think Brenda is coming home today or tomorrow...?!...so I'm hoping to be able to go see them again soon. Jaxon will probably be home sooner then expected providing he continues to do as well as he is doing- so keep him in your thoughts and prayers!

Other then that, I don't have much of an update. My baby shower is next weekend so I'm looking forward to that. I think about 20 people have RSVP'd so it should be pretty awesome! I'm very excited about it.

Thanks girls!  We had a really good night of supper and a movie, eating a piece of the top layer of our wedding cake (doesn't taste too good when it's been frozen for a year...)  Dave brought me flowers home after work and we bought a portable air conditioner as a gift to each other lol! Then we talked about this past year of marriage.  We feel blessed

Thats awesome that Brenda will be home soon and Jaxon too.  He's adorable I can't wait to see more of him.  Thats great that she could breastfeed.  They will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Yay to camping.  I'm going with my parents when Dave is away for his mom's wedding in Scotland.  We will be in a 5th wheel so it's not really roughing it, but it'll be nice to sit by a campfire and go in the lake.  Can't wait to hear about your baby shower.  I'm kind of jealous I'm not getting mine till after the baby is born.....My cousin is having one for me at her mom's place ( my godmother), which will mostly consist of relatives and neighbours from back home where I grew up.  It will be a few weeks after we come home from the hospital so we're settled and in a bit of a routine.  I'd love to have one in the city cause all my friends have been asking me about when mine is and suggesting I have it before the baby comes....  Oh well this summer is getting increasingly busier anyways.  Take care ladies

heya! great news about Brenda & baby Jaxon! thanks Erin for keeping us updated!

Erin, sounds like you had fun camping - did you sleep on the ground in your tent or on an air matress??? my hips are aching thinking of just a thin camp mat

Diana - glad you had a fun anniversary celebration with dh!

here's my update: I have my consult with an OB next Wed re: vbac (it's just something the mw's recommend for all vbac clients & they have assured me they are sending me to a really nice & pro-vbac OB) I just have to listen to his recommendations and that's that...I mean I've read the SOGC's guidelines & done my homework on vbac...

I also had my check up today (am 33 weeks & 2 days) - baby is still breech, but mw's are feeling confident that lots of time & room (especially since this is my second baby) I do inversions & up-side down poses everyday, began twice weekly chiro treatments last week and was sent home with a moxibustion stick today (dh will help me start that tonight) anyway, they want me to come back next week and I think we will try ECV...I need all the good positive thoughts I can - I really want to have a shot at vbac & my chances are not good if baby remains breech - baby moves a lot, so let's hope he or she just needs a little redirection & will turn either as a result of the synergistic effect of all the things I am doing or with the EVC next week - mw reassured me that if baby flips back to breech after EVC they can do it again, as I still have lots of time - I will also get a consult with another OB at St. Michael's who does deliver breech babies vaginally to see if she feels I am a candidate (of course we're not there yet) and I made it clear to my mw & she confirmed that if worst case scenario baby stays breech and a c/s is what is recommended I don't have to schedule one in advance rather i can let nature take it's course & go into labour, which makes me very happy b/c labour is good for me & baby & this way baby picks his/her birthdate :-) anyway, I must remain positive & trust in the good care & advice I am given that we still have lots of time!

thanks for letting me share - this has been difficult for me

Erin D.

Erin, I can only imagine how hard this must be for you. I'm sending all my positive baby flipping vibes that I can. I really hope that you are able to have the birth the way you want. Sounds like you've surrounded yourself with all the positive people that you can- I hope it works out for you!

Keep thinking positive thoughts, it turned my baby!

Erin D, I'm sending you all the head down vibes I can.  I know how much you want this and I know how anxious you must be as time goes by and Baby still hasn't turned.  i think there is still plenty of time for you and there is a very good chance you will have a vbac delivery.  One suggestion made by some of the ladies in my prenatel yoga class was to put on soothing music or lullabies(through headphones) and hold it down at your lower abdomen.  It might entice the baby to get closer to the music.  i have no idea if that works but sounds cute and worth a shot.  I'll be thinking of you.
