| WOW! Just received this email from Bombardier aerospace!!! Interior Designer-AER04667 The Interior Designer in conjunction with an Interior Design Consultant is responsible for the creation and coordination of the customer presentation package from concept to execution. This package includes interior and industrial design concepts, color boards, veneer and carpet samples, material specifications, accessory list, loose equipment list related to each project in work. They will interface with the Interior Design Consultant for information pertaining to the creation of the customer presentation package. The Interior Designer shall assist the Interior Design Consultant in the project management of their assigned aircraft until customer delivery. They shall assist the Interior Design Consultant in the production development of customer specific design details, the procurement confirmation of dye lots of materials and soft goods, and any delivery related issues or activities. They shall participate in technical briefings, internal training session, seminars and courses to remain ahead of our well-informed customers. Attend relevant air shows, conventions and static displays as required. The Interior Designer will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of the customer presentation package. They will protect the best interests of both the company and the customer in order to ensure a quality finished product and a win-win end to the completion program. They shall report their day to day activity to the business unit leader of an integrated multi-disciplinary team made up of sales representatives, engineering professionals, buyers and estimators, under the customer definition group. - The Interior Designer shall have a University degree in BID or BFA and/or Collegial (DEC) Diploma of Interior or Industrial Design or equivalent
- Knowledge of the interior completion process and how it relates to the interior design of an aircraft would be an asset
- They shall be versed in the fundamentals of design, ergonomics, color theory, presentation materials and, finish and fabric selection in order to develop the customer presentation package
- They shall be PC literate with an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Lotus Notes, AutoCad v14
- They shall also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Photoshop and be capable of navigating the Internet
- Knowledge of Catia V5 is an asset
