Has anyone here ever been to Curves? I think there was a previous post, but we all know what happened to that!

My best friend and I are thinking of joining...right now there is a special where you get 30 days for 30 dollars, and then that $30 becomes your 'initiation fee' if you choose to sign up..

Neither of us are very physical and are both out of shape. I am about 50 lbs over what I should be, and my friend is about 100lbs overweight...

I have heard it will be good for us, because it's not vigorous, and because we won't be as conscious/embarrassed as we would be at a normal gym...

I have a membership at Curves.  It is pretty good if you go 3-4 times a week.....I also run on the days that I don't go....

I have been a member and was pleased with the results. The only catch is you have to *remember* to go for it to work, LOL

Thanks girls...my girlfriend and I went last night, and signed up for the 30 days for 30 dollars deal.

We have to go a minimum of 3 times a week...our first night is tonight and we're excited!!!

We liked that lack of mirrors, the ages of people, and the atmosphere!

I just joined Curves about a few weeks ago, since then I have lost 2.25 inches all over my body, including my belly!  YAY!  And about 1.5 pounds of body fat.  I try to go at least 5 times a week!  I love Curves!

So we had our first workout last night (although we only went around once because it took an hour to show us the machines and then ahve us do a circuit ourselves) and we loved it...'

I learnt one thing...I am REALLY out of shape! haha I was red and sweaty after one round and could bearly do one machine (the arm one where you pull it in and push it out...like you are doing 'i must, i must, i must increase my bust')

But we loved it and felt good after. This is definatley something I could do alot...I just wish I could could go tonight...but the first 3 had to be scheduled!
