Question. My dress is ivory with a lot of silver detailing and embroidery. It's not a "puffy" dress at all. I'm thinking of going with silver shoes to pick up on the silver detailing of the dress. What do you girls think? What other option is there for an ivory dress? I can't very well wear white - I think that would look strange. The bridesmaids will have light blue dress and silver shoes. Oh and the wedding is in November.

Thanks for any input!

Of course you can!

Shoes are one really fun area to let your personality shine. People are only going to see them for the garter toss.

I"m wearing BRIGHT BRIGHT red satin heels for the ceremony and my orange chuck high tops for the reception!

I know girls have worn everything from crocs to slippers to flip flops to wicked sexy steve madden's etc. Shoes are totally all about what you like IMO

I would definitely go for the silver shoes!

Of course, *I* would be so bold, that I just might wear red shoes

I've been planning to wear silver or gold shoes for a while - I haven't decided on my dress yet for sure, or the colour so holding off but I have seen some beautiful shoes that I absolutely LOVE in silver and gold that I would wear on my wedding day. Why not? WHo will see your shoes much anyhow other than when you lift your dress up, or sit down and cross your legs away from the table.... ? Probably no one.

As long as you love them, that's all that matters.

Me (29) + FH (32) + his son (12) = 9.5 years together

Done so far:
Asked wedding party, decided on venue (Miller Lash), got catering quotes, decided theme, brainstorming details, started dress search, hired kicka$$ planner, made vendor lists, fought with FMIL, made up with FMIL, lost e-ring, found e-ring... only 10 mos to go!
