| FH and I went too! We didn't sign anything (thank God) but we got the vouchers for the "free" trips - one for an ontario resort and one for the bahamas cruise. When we went there was a protest going on outside and the staff were incredibly stressed. Has anyone actually gone on the free trips they give you? They said something about Deerhurst?

| HUGH SCAM My FH and I went to the one hour presentation. After the presentation they took us upstairs and tried to pressure sell us for 3 hours a vacation time share for $15000. It was a horrible experience. The prize we won was a vacation in the bahamas, but we would of had to have paid $70 per person everyday we were at the resort and our air fair. On top of that our $70 only covered 2 meals and no drinks. Even our prize was a scam. DO NOT GO, YOU WILL REGRET IT

Hey, I'm glad the staff were stressed (I have no idea how those people can live with themselves)! I think that the protest might have actually been organized by a CBer (good for her!) -pretty strategic since they knew there would be a lot of people going in and out on a Saturday. I didn't look at my PM soon enough or I would have showed up to support them. I wonder how the whole thing went down. Glad to hear you avoided the scam. I too, am waiting to hear if anyone has been successful at redeeming the vouchers. It sounds like the Bahamas one may be a scam within itself, since I think I found the company that offers this kind of vacation (I think it's Discovery Cruises) and I think there is a timeshare thing at one of their hotels. When you read the reviews of people who paid to go on these vacations, they are not very good. Like you, I'm more interested in the Ontario voucher, so if anyone has had any experience with it, I'd love to know. jj

Fun For Life IS A SCAM!! I wasted about 4 hours of a Saturday there listenging to a bunch of crap.....it really is bull***

| Seeing some of the replies brings back the horror that we went through in February. We are always cautious when it comes to vacation companies, but Fun For Life seemed legitimate and were present at a major wedding show. We went to the presentation because they guaranteed at least one of the five prizes, which ranged from 4 vacations to a tv. All of them sounded ok. We were pressured tremendously like stated above to buy in. The initial buy in was $14,000! Then they lowered it to $5,000 and we said no. Finally they said $2,000 over 2 years. This should have made us leave but you get naive in these situations. We agreed knowing we had the 10 days in the contract to cancel. We went to get our prizes and surprise, we got the worst one, a 3 day vacation were we paid the airfare. The girl handling us was new and let us pick again. Same thing. We actually went through 50 of the tickets and they were all the same prize! Immediately the next day we decided to cancel. We called them and couldn't get through to any managers. We had to leave 5 voicemails to apparently the only guy there who could cancel the contract. He called back 2 days later and tried for 30 minutes to get us to stay. We said no and to give us our $800 deposit back. He said he would get them to write the cheque and would call us the next day. He never called. This continued for 2 more days. I was getting nervous about the 10 day cancellation. I sent them a registered letter signed by both of us to the location and to be signed on delivery. This way I had really canceled and there was proof. They still did not return the money. Fortunately for us we had paid through Visa. When we contacted Visa they said that this company was a problem in the past and their fraud division handled the matter. They refunded us the $800 and went after them for it I am guessing, since we never heard from Fun For Life again. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE FRAUDULENT!

Please don't be foolish and purchase a membership to Fun For Life. We did, and it's the worst thing we've ever done. The prices are not 60% off, they are the same you can get anywhere. It is all so much more stress than going to a travel agent too...it took us 6 weeks just to book our destination wedding locale.
If FFL calls, go listen, get your free gift, and walk out. I would hate to see anyone suffer like we have.
