I am one of the suckers that totally got scammed by Fun For Life.  I went with my friend who is getting married...I guess I signed one of those ballots and they called me and my boyfriend as well.  The Wedding Show should be informed about this place and not to give any persons info to them!!!!!!  We were really hesitant on the whole thing but, had never attended an information session before and figured we would go and get our prize and leave.  We went on March 28/07 and much like all of your stories---they gave us a 3 hour info. session, promised discount travel and cut the cost from 10 000 to 5000 to 2500--at this point we saw what we thought was proof of their amazing deals and my boyfriend and I have been trying to take a trip for 3 years now and so with much hesitation we decided to join---mainly because my boyfriend knows how much I love to travel and so he thought that with discounts that we could afford to travel a bit more.  Due to the possiblity of something going wrong we paid the 800.00 deposit and monthly payments after that.  Over a week later when I was able to log on as a member IS WHEN I REALIZED that their prices were no different then any other service providers and in some cases MORE EXPENSIVE.  So from that day on I attempted phoning....every single day...finally decided to write out my cancellation letter before any more time passed----I faxed it to a rep within 10 days of getting access to the site as a member and within 30 days which is what we were allowed if services/goods aren't provided which in my opinion the services promised WERE NOT PROVIDED----the rep confirmed with me she got the fax (by the way she doesn't work there anymore...surprise)and would pass it to the appropriate person......so for the next 3 months upto now I left message after message......was told to speak to several different people.......received no phone calls back...NONE....i sent a report/complaint to Better Business Bureau  who attempted contacting them and they didn't reply to them!!!  Finally after leaving 8 weeks of messages for the last person I dealt with she called back (only because in my last message to her I told her I was coming to the office to deal with her in person)...said she never got any of my messages....told me that the cancellation letter is not in my file and the girl I faxed it to no longer works for the company...I told her to call her as she will be able to confirm who I was and confirm the cancellation letter and she said she tried but the cell phone number on file is not in service.  She told me I was out of luck and that payments will still be taken from us and offered me some 1 800 number to try and sell our weeks.  I told her that the company does nothing but scam and steal people's money and lie and that I wouldn't try and sell my weeks and scam others!!!  I then called Mr. Hendrix and left 7 messages (a week and a half ago) and no reply from him (surprise).  I just wrote to Silverman Helps on August 12/07 and then saw his segment last night and was thrilled. 

Problem is.........I have no proof I faxed the cancellation letter and therefore, they are telling me they will not refund my money!!!!  I guess I was really gullable...both of us were.....and I wasn't as careful about keeping all information along the way.  If anyone can help us......give us advice....even if we can piggy back anyone who already has a lawyer in this matter it would be great.  I will be there for any picketing or action that will be taken against this company.  I have never been so upset or mad in my life......ANY HELP OR ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT!!!!

If you are naive to purchase I have some advice:

a. pay on VISA - never cash. debit - VISA WILL BACK YOU UP!!!

b. send you cancellation letter in person - never fax it and have someone their sign it as received....

THERE ARE NO DEALS.. it is a huge scaM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
