Hey everyone! Hope everybody is having a great weekend!!!
I'm so sorry that the house fell through Ashley! That's so disappointing, but maybe it'll lead you to an even better house eventually! That's the outlook I've been trying to have as we are in a very similar position! At least you have a place now, even if you feel there's not enough space. Love the travel system you selected! That's so nice of your IL's to buy it for you! We're still looking for a travel system ourselves... can't seem to find much we like.
Jill- I too have been considering different footwear options for fall/winter... I have no idea! I haven't looked around too much. I have a comfy pair of Ugg style boots, but they are certainly not dressy or appropriate for work.
Becca- how was your Friday off?? I love the Tofino pics- looks like a blast! Totally jealous! I'd love a getaway with my hubby! I bet you'll feel a sense of relief once your office room is all cleared out!
Yesterday night and this afternoon I was busy doing gel nails, so that took up a lot of my time. Late this afternoon DH and I went shopping at Toys R Us! It was a blast!!! It was sooo fun to buy baby things! We bought a pack of 5 onesies, 2 receiving blankets, a throw blanket, 5 kushies cloth diapers and 2 diaper covers, 4 Dr. Brown's baby bottles, and some diaper wipes! I'd been feeling the urge to shop for baby stuff for quite a while and it felt great to get it out of my system. I got home and I ordered more stuff online I bought a Moby wrap and 12 bumGenius cloth diapers! I can't wait to get them in the mail!
Well that's my little update! Hope everyone is doing well!
Call me Nikki

OctBride17 (9/5/2008) I agree, Jill, pedicures are great. Its those little extras you can do for yourself that just make you feel good. (My faves are mani, pedi and facials.)
My favs are massages, manis and pedis. On occasion I do treat myself to a body wrap or scrub as well.

Great news about the travel system Ashely.
Niki I was thinking of buying a pair of Uggs for the weekend, but I am really at a loss of what to buy for work.
I went out and bought some bedding yesterday. I got a neutral color because it was on sale for $200 and the other one I wanted was $400. I brought it home, washed it and put it the crib and I don't like it at all. It's not at all what I want and I am so mad at myself for cheaping out and buying the one on sale. I don't think I can return it because I've already washed it. Now either I am stuck with bedding I don't like and the whole nursery is going to be not quite right, or else I buy the other bedding I really like, but that will mean I'll have spent $600 on baby bedding. DH is not going to be happy.

The Uggs are a great idea. I'm not sure what your workplace is like, but you might be able to get away with them and just change into your work shoes as soon as you get there (or even in the car before you go in -- assuming that you have covered parking).
That sucks about the bedding. Maybe you can try selling the one you just bought... at least that way you can recoup some of the cost, then buy the one you really have your eyes on.

So how was everyone's weekend? How are you all feeling today?
Over the last couple of days, or so, I've had some strange tightness/cramping in my lower pelvis. I've taken today off of work to rest. I think I've been doing too much (nursery prep, we've been changing around our family room, etc) -- I have a hard time sitting back while other people are doing things. I'm going to have to learn to be smarter about that.
