Before last year I had never attended a shower on a Saturday.  My bridal party is throwing me a shower and they decided on a Saturday.  Their reasoning: when hosting 50 people at a home - clean up afterwards will be required there's more time to do it after every one leaves on Saturday.  As well my MOH said that she didn't want things running too late (We both get up fairly early for work in the morning) all in all it was just way easier for her.
