I'm planning a shower for a bride who lives out of the country. I need to let the guests know that she won't be able to receive a lot of gifts that she'll have to travel home with. I'm going to include in the invitation her registry website so people can make online purchases but other than that I'm not sure how to tactfully tell people not to come with large gifts. Any suggestions?

I'm going to say that logic & common sense would take over and the guests attending know the bride well enough to know she lives out of country?? (if not, maybe re-think the guest list) they'd know not to bring a toaster oven, no? You could go with a theme - like Naughty Night Wear/Lingerie you could say something like "She's only here for a few days, come shower her with love & lingerie before we send her on her way"
or even recipes.

Thanks, that is a good idea. I am hoping that most people will use there common sense. However, you just never know.
