oh MEB sorry to hear you are so nauseated.

How many diclectin are you taking at every 6 hr interval? What time of the day is worse? Is it possible to call your doctor's office and have your dosage increased?? Maybe you only need it increased for the time you are feeling the worst, or maybe every time you take it will need a higher dosage.

If you haven't been on it long, I don't think your body would be used to it and it's not working for you now. I just think you need a higher dosage. But I'm no doctor.  Check with yours if it's possible to increase your dosage.

Hugs, hope you feel better.

Oh MEB I am soo sorry I watched my sister go through this and took her to the hospital every 3 days with her first for IV fluids.

She took it 4 times a day with her first and like you said it worked at first and then only mildly worked.

With her second they changed her taking it 2 at time, 1 mid morning. 1 mid afternoon and that was the trick for her.  When do you take yours?

My girlfriend is now 16 weeks and she was very sick from weeks 5-10 and then it just disappeared almost overnight.  So hopefully that will be for you too.

Hang in there it will all be worth it.

MEB (6/30/2008)
So I'm taking it 4 times a day, and it was a godsend the first few days, but is it possible that the effect of it is wearing down?

I'm starting to get sick again.... Anyone else experience this?  Anyone still sick even though they took Diclectin?  I'm so miserable...

I was thinking about this too MEB, I started taking it last Monday, felt great for a couple of days but I have been nauseas for the last 3 days.  I am going to the Dr. on Wed so I am going to ask him then.

I was like that as well. I started taking it just the 2 at night... once it got into my system it worked for about 5 days, then the rolling, intense all day nausea started up again (I wasn't sick, but felt so horrible that I couldn't get out of bed -- great way to spend a week's vacation). I ended up having to up the dose and take the 2 at night, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. (I've heard of some women being told to take 2 at a time, 3-4 times per day... maybe it's a matter of upping the dosage -- but do that on doctor's advice only.)
If you're taking the max dose and it's still not working, make an appointment with your doctor asap. Unfortunately, for some women it just doesn't work as well as it does for others.

MEB- I'd get in to see your doctor ASAP as you really don't want to be loosing weight and if you are still feeling this sick, you might need something more then just Diclectin. Can you at least keep water down? You need to keep yourself hydrated, especially in the heat (its like 35 degrees here and I'm assuming it's hot everywhere...lol). If you can get in to see the doctor today- I'd go to the hospital...

Just my 2 cents, and I'm SO SO sorry that you are suffering this bad. I PRAY that it will stop for you... Hang in there...and see your doctor!
