I'm walking down the ailse with my fh. I hate the tradition of the bride being given away by a man, I would have walked with my mom because we are sooooo close, but she can't walk, and we're being married on the beach, so a wheelchair is out. We're building a wagon out of car tires to get her on the beach. Plus, the wedding isn't the begining of the relationship, it's just another milestone to accomplish together, he's been by my side every step of the way so far, it doesn't make sense for me to walk with anyone but him. this is exactly how I felt...we've been together for 7 years so it is just another milestone for us... thanks a lot ladies for the advice...hopefully everything goes well at the end...

| This is my second marriage, so I'll walk down the aisle on my own. If I was you, I'd have my mother walk me down the aisle. She raised you just as much as your father, so she should have the honor.

| I saw a wedding where the bride walked down the aisle by herself, but stopped in the middle, at that point the groom walked and met her and they continued the walk together, it looked beautiful!

I love this idea, too!
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you have a fantastic wedding, with lots of lovely memories to share with him when you get back!
