Just letting you know that non-latin Europeans usually walk together into church. I see nothing wrong with it. I don't know how I feel about the Giving Away symbolism.

The same thing happened to me. My dad could not be there.
I chose to have my best friend walk me down but now, looking back I wish I had just done it myself. After all, you are going about getting married in a non-traditional way. You do what you think is best - don't worry about anyone else.
