Hi everyone,
Sorry if there's been a post like this before - couldn't find it.
I'm getting some real rose petals from my florist for free (what's left over after she does my flowers), and I'm planning on using those to put in little cups for people to toss over us after the ceremony (instead of bubbles or rice). But I'd also like to use rose petals inside to scatter on the tables and around the cake. Any suggestions on where to get some at a good price? I tried Michaels, but it was about $20 for a medium box, and that seemed like a lot. I'm looking for fake ones for inside since they won't wilt throughout the night.
Thanks!

| Hey, I bought a whole bunch at Walmart, 99 cents for a 100. They're scented, but thats a bad thing. They smell quite nice. I bought red and ivory, but they have other colors as well. You can find them in the craft section.

I was going to suggest Walmart too - I saw them yesterday when I was there. You might also try glass pebbles - also very affordable, and very pretty. The rose petals are a decent idea but they are obviously fake as they are made of some sort of thin cloth fabric. Let us know if you find more real looking ones anywhere.

I've actually considered using other types of flower petals for a more affordable means of achieving similar look/feel. But not sure what would look nice other than rose petals. It's all anyone ever uses isn't it?
I also saw bags of pot pourri in both home decor and craft sections at Walmart which got me thinking too....... I wonder if anyone has thought to scatter a nice looking pot pourri on the aisle runner or along the sides of it, or even at the front where you stand, instead of rose petals which are really expensive, for ceremony decor. But not sure how nice that would look. I may buy a bag and try it on my hall rug runner as example, to see what I think. My fiance will think I am nuts. LOL
What IS the cost of rose petals - does anyone know?
