| My parents are paying for the majority of the wedding and when it comes to paying for the limo.. i felt incredibly guilty!! It is going to be like 600 bucks!!!!!!!!!! I just cannot justify it..and although my mom says not to worry, I just cant stop!! What is everyone else doing??? Any alternative ideas??

If you're looking for something unique, cool and less expensive than a traditional limo, I saw an interesting mode of transportation t hat was more cost effective than a limo the other day on a luxury car rental website - it was called a G2 I think. It is $299 for the day unless you rent for more than one day then the cost per day goes down. HERE is a link to it.
Only problem - only 2 people fit in it - you'd need either another type of vehicle to transport other wedding party members, or else rent more than one G2. That way, if you only have one or two attendants on each side, you could potentially rent 2 or 3 G2's and have each wedding party "couple" (bridesmaid and groomsman) in each one. That would definitely make an entrance!

Me (29) + FH (32) + his son (12) = 9.5 years together
Done so far:
Asked wedding party, decided on venue (Miller Lash), got catering quotes, decided theme, brainstorming details, started dress search, hired kicka$$ planner, made vendor lists, fought with FMIL, made up with FMIL, lost e-ring, found e-ring... only 10 mos to go!

We rented 2 SUV's for the weekend. Most of the BP was from out of town so we tried to save them a few bucks on rentals and had most of the guys as licensed drivers.
It was about $400 for the two trucks and a car for DH and I (just day of the wedding - this wasn't supposed to happen but ended up being his back up plan).

I thought the idea of a limo was a huge waste of money so everybody just car pooled.
