All I have to say is: if you're not sure you're ready for a baby, you should be using a *reliable* form of birth control. Either the pill, condoms, etc... I personally don't count withdrawal, charting & other "natural" methods as reliable - even if these work for many people.
If you aren't ready for a baby and don't want to be pregnant, I'd skip the HPT, go straight for the doctor and discuss possible solutions (birth control and/or termination) depending on the results.
Good luck,
Melissa

Good luck, MelissaMelissa, while I very often do agree with you I think your above post is quite harsh!! Please be aware sometimes of other peoples feelings.

I did not like that at all it was very abrubt and not even your place to say that. She was just looking for a little help from us ladies who are there for each other no matter if we are ready or not and well I belive that only way you should terminate a pregnancy is if you are sexually molested and get pregnant. There is other ways to deal with it as possible adoption or even just grow up and deal with it. But that was just to much

| First of all, thank you to the ladies who stook up for me. The thought of putting my baby up for adoption or even terminating the pregnancy should there be one...didn't even cross my mind because it just won't happen. I will not do that. If I am pregnant, DH and I made the baby together, and will care and love the baby together...doesn't matter if we're ready or not. I guess if I am pregnant, then I'm ready lol and as far as using a reliable form of birth control...we did. We use condoms...but even those can sometimes not be as reliable as we like. And not that this is something I NEED to share with everyone, I'm not on the Birth Control pill because it caused some bad side effects for me. I will more then likely bite the bullet today and go buy the HPT. I was just hoping I'd hear answers like "sounds like you're just late" lol...come what may...I'll be ok lol

| Beegees, no matter how/when it happens I think many women go through the "I'm not ready phase" so don't worry about that. It sounds to me like you're in a stable relationship with a man you love, and I'm sure whatever the result of the HPT you guys are going to get through it just fine. And if you need any support we're always here. Good luck.

But like I said, come what may, we'll be ok. I'm positive about that.
