Honestly, I haven't received any "bad" advice.  I've received lots of advice and while some of it I don't think I'll use, I don't think any of it has been bad.  I've been lucky thus far.

Any "you should/n't be doing/eating/blah blah blah" advice is a pain in the arse.  You'll get a bunch of advice while pregnant, and then a hundred times that once you have your lo, and while it may annoy you at the time, I bet that a bit down some of it will be put to good use.  Consider it a learning process and take in all you, and then choose what you want to use and what you don't.

I used to be a smoker and I quit when I got pregnant. Someone told me that it was a bad idea to QUIT! She said every pregnant woman she's ever known who quit while pregnant ended up having babies with problems. Keep in mind she was pregnant while saying this to me with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. I think she was just trying to make herself feel better because it's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard of! I know I did the right thing.

HAHA Probably that a warm bath will 'drown' the baby. I mean, I know we can't have hot baths because we can get dizzy etc but a lukwarm bath is not going to hurt him. He's already IN water..

Ok before I tell my worst advice the background was that I was 21, had no education past highschool was still living with my parents and had just broken up with my boyfriend who was not ever going to be in the picture when I got pregnant.

My advice was from my Aunt who wrote me a letter from California (where she lives) to tell me she thought it would be best if I gave my baby up for adoption since even baby birds rely on both parents to survive to adulthood.

Needless to say I have never really had a close relationship to her and this just made it worst. I am still completely bitter and am struggling to have her on my guest list for my wedding.

I did keep my baby, went to college, have a great job that I can easily support my now 12 year old, I'm in an awesome relationship and we are trying to have another baby right now.
