we had a bunch of people actually do this to us. we had a whole table not show up and when asked they all said they forgot it was our wedding. 1 person even had the nerve to come to the ceremony then tell us he wasn't coming to the reception because he couldn't find a date after we had 2 plates order for him. People left early for our wedding and not alot of people danced we had the hall booked until 1am and by 12:30 we were all gone but i had so much fun, i didn't care by that point i just wanted to spend the rest of the night with my new husband. i had fun, honestly don't worry about it things will happen and it is a very important day so i would just relax and enjoy all your hard work will pay off and everyone will love it.

| I had people say they were coming and starting about 7 days before the wedding I started getting calls that they weren't coming. The final blow was 24 hours before the wedding when I got my last 2 cancellations. What I did when I had gotten the first declines a week before was called up some people that weren't invited to dinner. They were thrilled to come! Is that still an option??

| Yes, people actually do that. At least they are telling you before the wedding and just not showing up. My FSIL got married last summer and several couples RSVP'd yes and just never came without a word to the bride or groom. Then, not only do u have to pay, you have empty place settings at the tables. I know how you feel though. We have had a lot of people say no and aside from a few with legit reasons, most were lame and some didn't even bother to tell us why. I guess I am crazy but I am soooo honoured when I get invited to weddings and unless I have already booked a trip or something, I always go. If the bride and groom invite you, it means that they want you there to share their day and that to me is special. A lot of people dont get that. I guess until your the one deciding who to invite and who not to invite, you don't understand the thought that goes into it. 17 days till I'm a married woman......
