Fiancee told me last night that he wants to take me out for dinner today (my birthday) but we eat out almost everyday and the town we live in has maybe 7 or 8 restaurants 4 that are sit down medium of the road nothing really fancy.  I really just want to stay home.  I told him that I just wanted to stay home, that we don't have any fancy restaurants and I have eaten at all of them here.

Is it mean to want to just stay home when he wants to go out?  I am at the point that I hate eating out.  And I would like to have my birthday at home with him and my son in our own kitchen no waiting for food etc.

Should I just suck it up and go out or stick to my guns and eat at home.

I don't think so. Maybe you could all go shopping and buying something fun to eat, like pizza. You can buy a bunch of toppings and each make your own pizza.

then you are at home and spending time together

I don't think theres anything wrong with wanting to stay home. That can be more romantic than going out

Happy belated birthday!  What did you end up doing?

I had the opposite problem on my birthday.  We had planned to go out, and I was really looking forward to it, and then FH kept changing the plan repeatedly throughout the day.  We ended up staying home and having bbq or something... I don't even remember now!  lol
