I have to say that i don't really mind.  I am sure that i make mistakes all the time, maybe in every post i make. A mistaken spelling is not that big a deal to me.  I understand what the person means and that is what matters when i am reading what a fellow CBer wrote.

Poverty, rudeness, and a lack of respect, understanding, and patience... now that drives me nuts!!

lol, that irks me too...not majorly, just a little...even though I have a couple of my own spelling hang ups (for example, I always want to spell tomorrow with two 'm's and one 'r'...usually I catch myself, but once in a while I slip up...)

What gets me more are major gramatical errors...I can't listen to someone say "I seen..." and not shudder a little.

The "isle" thing irks me too.  But I'm nit picky that way, and I try not to project it onto other people.  I usually only point out spelling mistakes when the typo ends up being funny

Although "I seen" drives me crazy too!  I never ever noticed anyone saying it before I met my FH, and he says it ALL THE TIME.  The worst part is that he swore, for the longest time, that there was nothing wrong with it.  I started pointing it out to him, and he's finally (2.5 years later!) getting it right most of the time   LOL

LOL - this thread cracked me up.  It reminded me of a little peeve, posters who use two periods at the end of EVERY sentence. Or never use a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence. LOL.  We ALL make mistakes in our posts, just some are known for it in EVERY post.   Drives me bonkers.
