I got married in Cuba in May and this coming weekend is our reception. We have 130 people going so it is a huge crowd and I'm not sure if I'm really looking forward to it. My husband and I are really shy so we are very nervous to be getting up in front of all our guests hence the reason why we got married away. We were very surprised by the response we got back considering its a Sunday and a lot of the guests are coming out of town. This party has set us back quite a bit its just like a second wedding minus the church lol.
We just can't wait for everything to be over so we can relax and enjoy our marriage instead of all this planning and such. Anyways here are a few pictures of the things I made for the party....and if anyone is interested in using some of these for their ideas....

Our Venue with a beautiful view of Lake Simcoe (I hope its a nice day)

Our Cake (minus the pink bows and only 3 layers) My husbands cousin is making it for us

Our card box (I bought from Home Sense and DH cut a slit in the top) (Will be selling after this weekend if anyone is interested)

Photobucket

Our centerpieces (Hurricane vases bought from Benix there is small, medium and large 3 vases on sale for I think $20.00 used to be $50.00. I then filled them with play sand from Canadian Tire less then 10.00 for a huge bag and cut up some orchids bought from Walmart

And this is my prize creation lol.....I went to the dollar store and picked up 18 plates shaped like flowers and covered them with the play sand I got for our centerpieces...I then purchased from the dollar store a bunch of these mini sandals (their actually erasers) and made name tags also from the dollar store and I am using them as our seating plan...I then bought mini umbrellas that I attached a tag with their table #'s on them

Photobucket

Our frame that we will get our guests to sign

Photobucket

Our guest favours which a photo albums ( I tied raffia and attached tags that I wrote thank you on)

You must have booked ages ago to get in at the South Shore!  My sister looked at booking there for her wedding, and so did a friend of mine. They were both flexible on day of the week (Fri-Sun) and neither of them could get a day!

I hope that your AHR is everything you want it to be and more!

Your stuff looks amazing and I think you will end up having a fabulous time! What are you doing - dinner, drinks, dancing, DJ?

We had a very casual AHR with a DJ and dancing and it ended up being SO much fun, I was so glad we did it! I hope you have as much fun as we did too!

We booked it about a year ago we would have rather had a Friday or Saturday night but I guess we were lucky to get it at all...the view is AMAZING!
