Apparenty Winchesters Bridal shop here in Halifax is going kaput if it hasn't happened already. A friend of mine on the city planning committee asked me to get the word out in case I knew anyone who had ordered their dress from Winchesters. Calls have been going unanswered the doors are locked and apparently Nova Scotia Power shut off their power yesterday.

I just wanted to post a warning for brides/bridesmaids who ordered their dresses from here!

Oh, and apparently the tailor downstairs ( no direct affiliation ) is still open for business.

Really??? Why are they going "kaput"?? I got my dress there, but thankfully I did that last Sept. I was very pleasec with the whole process and interation with them. Good to hear that the seamtress is still in business!

First i hope that this does not affect anyone on here.  I hope that anyone that bought their dresses from there have them tucked away safe and sound at home.

As for them Closing...All i can say is GOOD RIDDENS!! i have never felt so small and unimportant as i did when i went shopping there.  I am glad other brides are not going to have to feel the way i did.
