My DJ asked me to come up with a good song that will get the party starting after dinner. He suggested we play the locomotion and do the Train...BUT THAT IS NOT AN OPTION...I am also not going to do a wedding party dance so I need a good tune to get everyone up!!! Any suggestions?

I'd reccommend considering ages of your guests/ style of music they might like and pick a song that you think most of them would love I wouldn't start off with the cheese, I know for me to dance to cheese songs I have to already be in the groove.......but you play a really kick ass gotta love it song I can't HELP but get up.  Know your audience (for lack of a better word)

Good luck and let us know what you pick!

Absolutly, without a doubt, "Shout" by the Isley Brothers.

There was no one song that got more people dancing than that one at our reception. The "older" crowd liked it because of the Blues Brothers and the younger because of Wedding Crashers. Our DJ gave out plastic sunglasses and fedoras. It was a HUGE hit!
