| Hi ladies! So, I finally went for my follow up appt yesterday with my naturopath and it went well. My current cycle is going to be about 30 days! My AF is normal now. Before my AF was light for three or four days, but the last one I had was one day of very heavy bleeding and it was 5 days. The naturopath said that is a normal, healthy AF, much to my dismay b/c I've never experienced that. She gave me more supplements to take for my thyroid and said that usually after taking these for three months then you can go off them and still be normal for most of her patiences. I did respond very well to the herbs she gave me, so I think I'll be normal. ("Normal")! I would recommend going to a naturopath if you have cycle issues b/c lots of women have underactive thyroids she said and it's pretty simple to fix. If you find a good naturopath then I would say try it out and see what he/she says b/c it can make a difference and it wasn't difficult at all for me. She told me to avoid sugars, milk and wheat and I did well with avoiding the sugars and milk, but I didn't do too well in avoiding wheat. I hope you ladies get your issues straightened out soon!

| SofaQueen, I am definitely interested in going to a naturopath. I *think* I have thyroid issues as well. How did you find your naturopath? Thanks!

| Hippie Chick, below is a link to the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and at the top of that page it lists all the provinces and from there it will have a list of the qualified doctors in your area. Basically, I read through the descriptions of the doctors and found one that specialized in female fertility issues and I wanted on that was located within 40 minutes of my house & workplace. Thankfully, I picked a good one and I 'clicked' with her, so it was successful. Hopefully, you can find a good one too. http://www.cand.ca/index.php?id=home&L=0

Bumping this thread! I will post my chart tomorrow. Basically I'm on cd33 and still waiting to ovulate! I am getting super frustrated with these long cycles!! We aren't ttc until November, however, I was hoping this cycle would get ON WITH IT soon so that next cycle we'd be ready to go!

| Jenelle, great idea to bump this thread Sorry to hear your cycles aren't regulating, mine haven't been either. I just recently got a PCOS diagnosis, so now I'm working at treating that. I am waiting for my appointment with the Gyno, and we'll take it from there. But I have joined Weight Watchers, because a lot of literature shows that cycles are closely tied to weight, so even losing 15lbs can make a huge difference to your cycle. At least, that's what I'm hoping for! How's everyone else doing?

| Hi Lizardd! I read about your diagnosis. Even though it kind of sucks, it is good to know what the situation is and then work on rectifying it! I dont know what my own deal is. I am still wondering if it's just taking time to regulate off of bcp's, but it's been about 6 months now since I took my last bcp. I did go see my doctor after my second long-a$$ cycle, and asked if he thought I could have PCOS and he said he doubted it, because my weight is in a normal range and I didnt have any other symptoms. I do wonder though... one of the symptoms he mentioned was acne breakouts along the jawline. I didnt have any when I went to see him, but sometime in the last month, I have gotten a lot of annoying breakouts along the jawline. I am also getting them more frequently on other areas of my face as well, but I have NEVER had them along my jawline before. BUT, this could just be a sign of my hormones returning to normal too, because I used to have breakouts a lot before going on the pill years ago, and the pill seemed to clear them up. Is breakouts along the jawline really a symptom of PCOS? Anyone know?

I used to get really bad acne, which is why I went on hte pill in the first place. Fortunately it's not so bad now, since I've gone off the pill, so I didn't really think anything of it. Will have to look in to that!
