I'm so sorry you've been going through all of this!
I agree with the others, you really need to put yourself first now. It could be minor, or it could be more than that, and you need to trust your instint.
you mentioned you've only got 3 holiday days left, does that include sick days, because this situation could qualify as a medically necessary issue that requires time away from work to attend appointmnets, and rest, etc.
Try to see another doctor for a second opintion and get some rest if you can!!!
Good luck and thinking of you!

| Are you drinking enough water? I remember having problems breathing (to the point where I was scared because I felt like I COULDN'T breathe), feeling light headed and dizzy ... and I wasn't drinking enough water. I know it seems like a simple solution, but try drinking a ton more water to see if that helps. I hope you feel better soon!

| Well it's been a long weekend for sure! It started on Thursday when I had a REALLY miserable day with the breathing. I was on the verge of passing out on my way to work, and when I got here my boss looked at me like I was dying and asked if I was ok. Friday was better, but not much, Saturday was about the same, then DH finally convinced me to go to the hospital on Sunday. Luckily Ajax hospital isn't too bad for waiting times, and I guess since I was pregnant we got in pretty quickly. The Dr. came in listened to my chest and decided to give me 3 rounds of ventalin on the nebulizer. I've never had it before, and it sucked. The nurse warned me that my heart rate would probably increase. After the first dose my hands were shaking like crazy!! After that was done the Dr. came back in and asked how I was feeling. I told him I felt worse than I had before. He looked confused and listened to my lungs again and said that he didn't hear any weezing, wrote me a prescription for ventalin inhaler and sent me on my way. Well that night my breathing just got worse, plus my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest!! DH was not happy at all, so we decided to go back on Monday if all was not better, plus we wanted to ask about the perscription since it didn't seem to help at all! Monday off we go back to the hospital. And guess which Dr. is still on!!! Great! This time though he sends us to L&D to get a no stress test to check on Tadpole (who's doing great!) He requests blood tests, urine samples, and ECG, and they all come back normal. Then he sends in a specialist (in what, I still don't know) who asks some more questions and then decides we should do a lung scan and chest X-ray as well as an ultra sound of my legs to check for a possible embolism. The ultra sound and x-ray get done that day, and he says that the lung scan will have to wait until Tuesday and wants to keep me in for observation. DH and I decided to go home since my breathing isn't too bad. Tuesday DH has to go back to work so my mom and I go off to the hospital yet again for a lung scan. The radiologist looks at it, and says we can go back home. Now I have to go in again on Thursday to see the specialist and get the results of the X-ray and Lung scan. We know I'm not in any immediate danger since the tech told us that they wouldn't let us go home if there was a huge problem. So ladies, keep your fingers crossed for me. Obviously we're hoping that both of those tests come back clean. On the other hand it would bring us back to square one again. But at least we can cross some stuff off the list... so a big thank you to my October/November Moms to be they've been super supportive. And thanks for listening if you've read this far. I guess my last question is for those of you who have had breathing problems how would you describe it? Or what would you liken it to? TIA

Nik, I have never dealt with anything like what you're going through, so unfortunately, I can't offer any advice! I am really glad that things are coming back clear so far because it rules out the really scary stuff, but at the same time, I know how frusterating it can be when you know something is wrong, but no one can find anything. I hope you're doing ok - I'm sure this must be just horrible and scary to deal with! Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you - I was actually thinking this morning that it had been days since you'd been on and I was going to start a post wondering where you were, lol!
