I feel silly even being so upset about it.
The whole shower thing...there was just such a contrast to the one they held for the other girl last year - like, they booked a huge boardroom, made sure the part time staff would be in, decorated it in her colours for her wedding, played games, it lasted like 2 hours. Then there's mine, and it's here's a ***ing carrot cake in the corner of the office, cut it and everyone'll be back at their desks by the time you finish. Like they really couldn't think less of me.
It just felt like such a slap in the face. I've put in four years there, and this is how little I matter - that I can be getting married and they can't even book a ***ing boardroom. I'm so frustrated and upset. I feel like I just keep getting *** on, and I'm SO ***ING SICK OF IT.
I don't know how I'm going to get through 25-30 years of this

I was holding it together until the ***ing bus driver zoomed past my stop because he was yakking it up with some slut. I had to ask him to stop, and so my five minute walk home became ten minutes, and I don't even think my feet touched the pavement before I was crying...by the time I got home, I was doing the double-barrel sobbing.
I'm embarassed by myself

| Don't be embarrassed Hope - we ALL have days like that! It sucks when work isn't fair, and clearly they only made a minimal effort; I would have been hurt too! If it makes you feel any better, I own multiple Nickelback cds AND we saw them in Ottawa when we lived there. See, my shame is far worse than yours!
