Hi Everyone...I am getting married at the IVB in December 2008...I know its far away but I am wondering what kind of pictures that they take down there....im looking for different positions and unique picture ideas...any tips of things i should know getting married down south...and I am doing bags if you have and ideas too about what to put on the T-shirts for all your guests i am totally lots with what to put on them...thanks for all your help!

| Hello there I'm getting married at the IBV as well in May 2008! I have seen a bunch of pictures that were taken down there by both the photographer and guests. Have you already booked your trip and wedding date? I'd be happy to answer any questions that you may have about the resort in the meantime. I was thinking about doing welcome bags as well, but I'm stumped for ideas that won't cost too much money!! My friend did this for her destination wedding in May 2007 and they were great, but I know they costed her a fortune! Keep in touch. Chantel

Hi! We were just married at the IBV about a month ago. The photgrapher is elaina or helaina (couldn't understand what she was saying). She tends to do more formal poses but we do have several pics of us walking/talking on the beach that do look natural. She also doesn't speak very good english (very little) she getting ideas across to her might be hard. You might want to make a list of poses that you want and take that with you. I wish I had done this. She does take great photos though...we were very happy. We bought 100 pics (all 5x7's) and we received a disk with all the pics (110) for 300 CUC'S. If you thinking about getting the video----get it!!!!! Angelo is fantastic and wonderful. He really takes pride in his work and he speaks perfect english. The video is about 20-25 minutes long and well worth the 200 CUC's!!! He is a great guy...we even sat down with him afterwards and had some drinks!!
We did do beach bags for our guests but we only had 2
I did one for each of them and I bought the bags at Athletes world(sports bags---great for the beach)..one for the girl and one for the guy----DH was worried I would make them to girly . I put in a stainless steal travel mug (things engraved), an engraved towel (sears), heavy duty sunscreen, purell, sunglasses, english/spanish phrases, chips, candies and peanuts and a disposible camera! They were a huge hit...our friends loved them!
August 3, 2007 is the big day!!!!

| i stayed there 2 christmases ago the beach was beautyful i am doing insulated mugs for everyone- i have a oic in favors i think, fans as programs in case its hot i am making beachbags fro teh bridesmade adn flower girls weddingstar.ca has iron on rinestones with "bridesmaid" etc on it, for aout 6 dollars cheaper than premade ones and i will be to put it on a nicer bag

| Hello!! I am getting married at the IV on April 25, 2008! For my bridesmaids I am giving them beach bags with their initial stitched on. Inside these bags I am going to put tanning lotion, lip balm, facial stuff, magazines and goodies to eat. For my other guests we are doing insulated travel mugs. You can get them personalized with your names and date of the wedding on them. I don't know what to give my FH best boys though... any ideas?!?

| Also, I am wondering about some sort of reception after the ceremony at the IV. I think I read somewhere that the couple booked the pool area for $5 a person and they had a little pool side party with music and a private bar tender.. Has anyone heard of anything like this? Is anyone looking into doing something like this at the Iv??

O i haven't heard that but I would love to have that for sure...for the inbetween time that woudl be perfect...Let me know if you hear anything I am going to email Belkis...Thanks for the tip
