| Just wondering about who was in the delivery room with you ladies that have already given birth and for those of you that are pregnant, who will be in the room with you? Was there any drama surrounding the choice of who/who should not be in the room with you? My husband and I are not TTC yet, but in 2010 and I just was wondering what people are typically doing these days or if there are specific rules in certain hospitals about this. Thanks.

Our hospital only allowed 2 people...so of course my husband and I also had my good friend who is a massage therapist. So it worked out great for me!!!
BABY #2 ALREADY?? HOLY CRAP!!!!  A Child - not until you hold one on your lap do you realize your entire world can fit into your arms

| I'm thinking that I only want DH in the room for the birth. That could certainly change though. My Mom will drive from Hinton to be here with me, I'm just not sure if I want her in the room. We're close, I just don't know how comfortable I'd be being 'that' close. LOL. I certainly look forward to hearing from others on this.

| My DH was in the hospital with me as where my grandma and my MIL.. could have lived with not have the MIL there.. but in the end I didnt even notice.. I also ended up having a c/s and really when Lily was born it was just my DH.. who was going green because I lost alot of blood and I was puking on the table hahaha poor guy.. I was just way to out of it.. But this next time it will be a scheduled c/s so I really dont want any one to be there other then DH..
Wedding Sept 15th 07, Lily born Nov 27th 07, planned section for Riley on Nov 7th ya we work quickly hahaha

We were only allowed 2 people. It was just going to be DH and I and I told everyone that... Well, my mom somehow snuck in and got to watch the whole birth. I was pretty darn mad at her for months because she *knew* it was just going to be dh and I. I didn't tell her I was angry because she was thrilled seeing her grandson coming into the world and well I just didn't want to hurt her.
Many months later, I have cooled down about it and well it made her happy. But next time it's just DH and I! hahah or until my mom sneaks in again.

As far as I'm concerned, if you weren't there for the conception, you don't need to be there for the birth. I'm not even too keen on having many visitors while I'm in the hospital after it is born ...
