| Just DH and me. There were a lot of people hanging around, I wouldn't want any more in the room.

DH and I haven't talked about it yet, but I only want him in there. He really doesn't get a choice since the baby is coming out of my body I know this is going to be an issue with my mother as she's made comments for years that she's going to be in the room because she's never had a baby (I'm adopted). But I've also told her for years "no". I only feel comfortable with DH being there and this is our experience to share.

It was going to be my husband and maybe my Mom, who is an obstetrics nurse. But, because I had to have an emergency c-section, it was just my husband. And since I will have a scheduled section next time, it will just be my husband again. Our parents were all waiting for us in the recovery room, though, which was nice.

DH and my sister will be there. I was there for the birth of her son and she swears that if I wasn't there, she would still be in labour. Her DH was SO overwhelmed and well, being I am the bossy older sister I took over....lol. It was an amazing experience as her and I are very close.

| I only want dh with me - like others have said, its our moment. Just curious - how many people would be happy to have their MIL in the delivery room with them? I have a feeling my MIL will want to be there - how would you tell her no and not hurt her feelings? I'm thinking the easiest answer would be 'my own mother won't even be in the room!'

I was gonna say I'd tell her to suck an egg ....then I saw you wanted a 'nice' way. I'd say what you wrote, your own Mom won't be in the room, therefore, neither will she.
