| Just heard on the news that a woman in Port Perry left her 11 day old infant in her van, wrapped in a blanket while she shopped nearby with her two other kids. It was 30C today!! A passerby heard the baby screaming and called for help. The police have not decided if they will press charges. Witnesses said the mother was gone about 10 mins. When are people going to get that kids and pets CANNOT be left in cars during in weather extremes, even for a few minutes ???!!!

| Kids shouldnt be left in cars no matter WHAT the weather is like... It happens too quickly for someone to pop the window and take the child.

| Some people are idiots. She should be charged, it's common freakin sense. Even if the weather weren't a factor, what about the possibility of child abduction?! People who leave their kids in the car should be charged and forced to take a mandatory parenting class. The same goes for leaving dogs in the car.....why is it necesary that you take your dog shopping only to leave him/her in the hot car?! It's much safer and more responsible as a pet owner to leave them AT HOME.

I agree, why would you leave a baby in a car by itself anyway.....thats just irresponsible! She should have her children taken away from her. She should know better have two other children, but it makes me wonder what sort of stupid irresponsible things she has done with them.

She should be charged and possibly have her kids taken away. Definitely needs some follow up on her lack of parenting skills. That's just stupid.

| A stranger didn't mind her own business and intervened and called for help - imagine that! Good! I'm glad! I'd have done the same thing! It's child neglect/abuse, plain and simple.

I can't believe that the police don't know if they are going to press charges! Of course she should be charged!! It makes me so mad that people like her are able to have children when there are good people out there who can't
