My neigbour gave me a little trout and I was gonna make it for dinner tonight. Then I started thinking that it was on our list of preggo 'no-nos'.....I am really looking forward to it. Can I even eat it? I LOVE fish and it's very rare that I get to have it (DH hates it). It's not something that is consumed on a regular basis, I usually get to eat 1-3 a year. It's fresh outta the lake ( a nice clean BC lake ), not store bought. Can I eat fishy or should I throw him out?

| You should be fine. I found a site that lists "sea trout" as high mercury, but "freshwater trout" as lowest mercury. (Mercury would be the only reason not to eat him.) Enjoy! http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/fishmercury.htm
