| I wouldn't buy the car seat second hand, especially not from a stranger. The stroller I'm not too sure. Unless they are selling it because they bought another one or something like that - I don't know. Our stroller got quite a lot of use, and I know it will again when the second baby comes, and while it is still in good condition now, I'm not sure what kind of condition it will be in when we are finished with it.

I wouldn't buy a used car seat or stroller. I don't want to take the risk that it has a tiny little crack that would put my lo at risk.

| I wouldn't personally buy a used car seat - unless, like Chris mentioned, it was still sealed and very obviously never used. You can't tell just by looking at it if it's been in an accident or not. If it was from someone I knew personally and trusted, that would be different. But not from someone I didn't know. A stroller would possibly be a different situation for me. I've seen tips online on buying used strollers, and things to check for. I'd think that damage or wear would be a little more obvious on a stroller, and if I'd checked it over very fully, I might purchase it used if it was in good condition. (Although I'm planning to buy a new travel system anyway.) That said, is there a possibility that you could buy the used travel system (assuming the stroller is in good shape) and also buy a new car seat for less than the cost of a new system?

Thanks so much to everyone for their input (and to gr8blessings for the info on the Quinny! Much appreciated)! DH and I have decided not to buy this set. They seller has just told us there's something broken on it, so I certainly don't want it. I think we will just continue looking around in stores and see what we find! Thanks again.
