Did anybody's baby here have/had a hernia?   did it self resolve, if so how long did it take?

My husband apparently had it really bad for about 2 weeks and my MIl said that the doctor told her to tape a quarter over it It must have worked cause he did not have to have surgery and he now has a nice innie belly button.

My nephew also had this 3 years ago and his took about 1 month to correct itself.  The doctor told her to just watch it and if it appeared to be causing him discomfort and was getting worse to bring him back in.

My SIL had twins and I lived with them for 2 year after they were born.  The one had this problem with their belly button....  It was so big that he used to hold on to it.. It was funny.  If I remember correctly they said if it hadn't gone away by the time he was 1 that they would do surgery..  It went away I think just after he turned 1.

This was 10 years ago so it could be different now.

My daughter had a herniated belly button. But it had gone down by her 2 month doctors appointment.
