I am getting married in October , my dress has spagetti straps, but I am worried that I am going to be cold.  The church is always cold, did you cover your shoulders or just bear with it?  What did you wear over your shoulders if you wore something?

Almost married.  November 22nd.

People could you RSVP already???

from experience..   you won't even notice its cold..  you will be caught up in the wedding ceremony..   We went outside for pictures and I didn't have my shoulders covered and that was at the end of March last year..

I would find out from your church if you need a shawl or something as I know a few people who had to cover their shoulders in the church. If you are worried about being chilly, I would get a nice shawl or wrap...you can pick them up anywhere and for pretty reasonable prices. I'm getting married in July and am considering a shawl for later because I am always cold!

I have a strapless dress planning on gettign married outside in Ottawa on Oct 18 2008. I'm not too worried about the cold. Probably won't even notice. If its tooo cold we will move it indoors.

Ya I agree.  It was raining during our ceremony on and off and I didn't even notice until I watched the video lol

I agree with everyone about not noticing the cold, but DO check with your minister/priest because some think it's disrespectful not to cover your shoulders in the church.

We were married the week after Thanksgiving (Oct 13/07) and I was plenty warm.

However, it had been raining and miserable the week before so I bought cranberry-coloured pashminas for us to wear while we were out taking photos (girls had chocolate brown dresses).  They looked cute!
