Okay its about 13 1/2 months before my wedding.  I went last night and tried on some dresses.  Found one that was beautiful but by the time I got home I sat and wanted to change about 5 things on it and it was about $1799 which my budget was about $1000.  Today at lunch I wandered over to a discount bridal store with my mom.  Tried on 3 dresses and the 3rd one I fell in love with.  I left the store to think and I haven't stopped thinking about it all afternoon.  So I called the store and purchased it.  The scariest part is that I wanted Ivory and this one is white (but I love it) the train isn't as long as I wanted (but I love the detail and it looks right).  It fit right off the rack and it's a discounted sample.  Doesn't even need to be hemmed... Another thing that scares me is that it was only $199.  Am I loosing my mind?  I just can't stop thinking about it.

Best to go wtih your gut,, you have lots of time yet so if you are sure go for the one you want, if you arent sure, forget both and wait,, there will be lots of sales and things to come in the next 13 months!

Good luck!

You are not losing your mind.  $199 is an awesome deal!  And you love the dress, that's the most important thing.  Good Job!

I think if you were thinking about it as much as you were and loved it as much as you did that you definitely made the right decision to buy it! That's one less thing you need to plan in the next year!! And because of the price now you've got some extra cash to put into buying something else (like shoes and accessories to go with your fabulous dress!!)

I am sort of feeling the same thing right now.  I went shopping last weekend and got a dress - it was a great deal.  I think its a fabulous dress but I am worried that I was impulsive in buying it without really looking around.  That being said - if you can't stop thinking about it, that's a really good sign.

If it makes you feel any better, I bought my dress in June 2006 for my September 2008 wedding. I'm glad I did because I haven't seen anything else I LOVE since!

You love it and it was a fantastic deal.  That's all that matters!

One word of caution: stop looking now!  lol  There are always going to be tons of gorgeous dresses, and I think most brides who are "two dress brides" end up that way because they keep looking after they buy.

If you're happy with it, be confident in your decision   JMO!
