| I've been looking at the David's Bridal website and like a ton of dresses on it. I am from Ottawa and am thinking of going to the Syracuse location in a few weeks. Has anyone been there? Do I need to make an appointment before I go? Is it big with a lot of selection and will it have most of the dresses from the website? I've noticed their prices are really decent and I am hoping to just buy one there off the rack..I hope it works out, any experiences or anything you guys have heard would be great! I cannot stop thinking about dresses (getting married may 2009) ..is anyone else obsessed with finding THE dress?

| My sister got her dress at the location in Rochester. It is *beautiful* and she got it off the rack. She went on Black Friday this past year, had the first appointment of the day, had all the help she could want or need, and came home with a dress. The only alterations that she required was getting the straps shortened and her bustle. She brought the dress home to have them done at a local shop rather than drive back down to get the dress after the alterations were done. DH and I went into the one in Buffalo in October and there were more Ontario license plates in the parking lot than American plates! I just wish that I had known about them when I got married a couple of years ago! (DH and I went in when we were driving by one just to see what the big deal was and even he was impressed!) -Marianne

You should make an appointment...they are very busy, especially on the weekend. On the website they have a 1 800 number but I found the store I wanted and called them directly to make an appointment.

| I went to the David's Bridal in Duluth and I was looking for flower girl dresses for my daughters and I got zero help. It was later in the evening and it wasn't busy in there and there were several people working so I don't know what the problem was....maybe I wasn't going to be spending enough money for it to be worth their while. Needless to say, I didn't buy there.

I went to the Buffalo location. I did not have an appointment but it was a Thursday afternoon, so it was not very busy.
The sales girl was very nice and I was very happy to be able to try dresses on in my size, most bridal store do not carry smaller sample sizes so it's hard to get an idea of what the dress really looks like. I was going to go back and buy my dress there, all the dresses are beautiful and the prices are great (I went when they had the $99 sale, not many $99 dollar dresses but all dresses between $300 and -$400 were $50 off, and dress between $400-$500 were $100 off, ect...so the prices are very reasonable) they also offer other discounts if you buy your accessories there and bridesmaids dresses as well.
I would have gotten my dress from them if I had not found my dress for the price I did.
Good Luck and enjoy the hunt for "the dress"

I bought my dress at a davids in clearwater florida and had amazing service and they have tones of dresses in tons of sizes and if they dont have your size they will call another store and have them ship it so it only takes a few weeks to get your dress. I bought my dress and although I am now having second thoughts, it is very pretty and was an amazing price.
Thanksgiving weekend 2008 Im a MRS had a wonderful and fun day with our 110 guests
