Here is the situation...my grandmother, whome I was really close to, passed away in February. My mom told me that I was able to have her wedding band, which she wore everyday that she was married, untill we layed her to rest. The problem is, my engagement ring is white gold. The ring that FH gave me when we were first going out, which is so precious to me, and i wear everyday on my right hand, is yellow gold, which would match my nannys ring. FH does not mind if I want to get married with her ring and wear my promise ring as my E-ring and my real ering on my right hand. Since both rings mean the same to me, that we are going to be together forever, and I will still be wearing them both, this way I could wear her ring as well! And then I would have her close to me all the time...I miss her so much .
What do you ladies think of this??
Thanks for your input!

I think that whatever makes you feel "just right" is what you should do. All 3 of these rings mean so much to you!

I agree....wear whatever feels right to you.  I'm wearing my FH's grandmother's ring as my WB....it is important to us that her memory is carried on so i'm honouring her by wearing her wedding band.

I think it is a wonderful idea that you want to wear your grandmother's ring. I think what the PPs says is correct, do what feels right for you. It sounds as though your FH is a wonderful guy since he is on board with doing what you feel is right.

Is there a problem here?  It's what you want and your FH is good with it. Where's the dilemma? lol  Just do it.

You could wear her ring on your right hand with the promise ring and still get your own wedding band.  I'm wearing my Grandma's engagement ring on my right hand and I'll wear my ering and band on the left.

If you want to wear your promise ring with her band you should. But if you want to start your own heirlooms - wear hers on the right and get a new one for the left.
