| You could start by deciding what you want to specialize in, maybe something like wedding decorations or wedding items such as card box, guest books, favours, etc. and then try posting your stuff on a site like kijiji.ca. This way you can do it from home without the start-up cost of having a store or anything. Also this way you can start as small as you like without having to invest in an inventory.

If you are going to get into the planning end of it I would call around to a number of suppliers and see if you can work out a deal for your future customers. Couples like planners with a built in vendor list, they get deals and can go to the same person for everything.

If you want to be a wedding planner you can go to school for special event planning. I think its a one or 2 year course. You can also be certified which only takes one or 2 days! Just some suggestions
