| Is there anyone else who is not doing a seating chart for their guests??? I feel I should do it but FH doesn't like the idea, he think we should let the guests seat them selfs where ever they wish and with whom ever they want, but we should have two tables reserved for closer fimilly near the head table...what does everyone else think???how would you feel if you came (or if you already been) to the wedding and there was no seating chart??? Thanks

| I like the idea of a seating chart. I am having 1. I mean you dont want any one arguing over where there sitting or someone being left out. If you have a seating chart you can make it fair and have every one seated with people they know and feel comfortable with

I personally fell that without a seating chart/arranged seating it is a bit chaotic. If you have a seating chart its really only for the dinner portion. I find that after dinner people usually mingle anyways. Just my Opinion. We are doing place cards not a big chart.

The other thing about not having one is that there may be some tables with only one seat laft available and then a couple may have to split up and sit seperately.

| I just saw this happen at an April 1st weding. There were no seating chgarts and we all just sat ourselves it took about 15 minutes for the chaos to settle down as everyone scurried around looking for poeple they knew and looking for closer people to sit with. one couple had to sit seperatley because there wasnt enough seats left over. It was kind of awkward.

if you are not having one I would make sure that you have at least one extra table set up so that people don't have to be split up...dont' set up just exactly the amount of people that will coming. We are doing one, I didn't want one but FH mom had a huge fit about it and everyone got in a fight about it so we are now being forced to do it. Otherwise I wouldn't be having one either...there are definitely pros and cons to each I think.
