I've been calling "Laura's Dream Bridal" for a week now to find out if the sleeves we ordered for my dress is in.  I finally got a call from the owner telling me she has closed down the store.  She told me that she has my dress (and sleeves) and I can go pick them up.  Or she will honor the contract and still do my alterations.

Everyone around me seems to think I should take my dress and run and just find another seamstress for the alterations.  What would you do?

I would take my dress and run, if it is closed the I would be too concerned with where they are storing the merchandise to want to wait.  Especially if they plan to liquidate, I would be concerned that my dress might be mixed in with the rest.

Before you make your decision, ask where she intends to do the alterations and will you have full access to your dress while these are going on, or is it by appointment only.

Wear a white wedding dress?  Why, are we bar hopping?

Take the dress and run away very fast!  I suggest you purchase some new running shoes before picking up the dress to improve your speed.

Good luck!
