I am looking for a dress for my 12 year old daughter.   The ladies are wearing black, I am wearing red.  I bought her a beautiful black velvet dress off of ebay, but it is too small (she was visiting her grandparents when it came in).

Any ideas?  I checked the mall here but couldn't find anything appropriate.  She is a bigger girl (tried some size 14 in bridal store but they were a little tight)

Everyone seems to have such great luck at RW &CO, I would take her there, great prices and she can try them on in person! Nice dressy dresses! lol

Unfortunately we don't have that store anywhere near here (actually I had never heard of it before.)

Could you order one from a bridal store- I know they are a bit pricey, but they will custom fit to her shape. I think that's what we'll end up having to due as my FH daughter is so tall, she needs a size bigger for length, but then it is too big. Another option is www.kiddykidswear.com- some really cute dresses- better prices than bridal stores.

She is a big girl and needs to wear an adult size (but I don't want an adult looking dress, she is still only 12, sexy is not an option)

I would try Laura or Laura Petites (they'll be shorter). They had a really cute black taffeta knee length bubble skirt dress for $40! I just bought a dress to wear to my bachelorette there. If you live close to the border, I suggest going to Deb!

Jessica®/MD Peau de Soie Spaghetti-strap Crinoline Dress

this dress comes in black/white too at www.sears.ca. It's 99 bucks.
