Awe, I just felt a wave of extreme sadness come over me from reading your post.  This could be any one of us and life is truly a gift.  We need to not be so consumed with such petty things and we sometimes forget what is truly important.  My prayers are most definately with you and your family.  I'm relieved to hear that the surgery went well and I pray that he recovers completely!  Sounds like you have a close and supportive family!  I hope everything turns out good!!! *hugs*
