Funny thing about those jeans is that they cost more than my dress! lol Although, the fact that they had a "designer" label on them, did NOT change my dad's opinion of jeans for a wedding. He was mortified! Hee hee. I highly recommend this style for your New Zealand wedding. When you take out most of the formalities, you are left with so much more time to enjoy the day, and most of all the people. It is also very affordable and easy to plan for. The laid back theme for the wedding also tranfered well to the guests, who spent the evening kicking back and truely having a great time. For us, it was perfect.
