Thanks smurf993 I forgot to mention we got the band plantinum plated so that it totally matches my e-ring... and my fav part is that FH has the exact same ring except his is wider.

GAH I'm torn between the beautiful simplicty of the plain gold band, and the bling of the eternity bands!

That's my dilemma, in a nutshell! I like more sparklies, but it seems like with the plain bands the focus stays on the solitaire.

I got the best of both worlds --- did a full eternity band for my solitaire (I posted somewhere on page 3 I think) but i also got a plain band (the priest blessed both at our ceremony, but I kept the plain band on my other hand that day). I also use the plain band alone for travelling, it's easier and I can be carefree about it.

Here's my set! Excuse the quality of the pics, they were taken with my cell.

GAH I'm torn between the beautiful simplicty of the plain gold band, and the bling of the eternity bands!

That was my problem too. I ended up ordering a custom made one. The band matches the band on my e-ring, then I had 3 gypsy set diamonds (little circles)accross the top.

Like pp's, I struggled with choosing between the simplicity of a plain platinum band (which looked really good with my solitaire e-ring), and something with a little bit of sparkle that wouldn't be so boring if I wore it on its own. I finally found the perfect ring for me. I've included the link here because I still can't figure out how to post pictures.

I ordered it last week, so I don't have the actual ring yet.

Marrying the pickiest man in the world...so I guess that's a compliment!
