Someone here on CB the other day, recommended bidz.com for buying jewellery. I don't remember who it was.... sorry! Anyways, I checked it out, and it seems legit, but some of the products/prices on there seem a little too good to be true.

I'm not very familiar with bidding websites or even buying jewellery online. I've always been a bit skeptical... however, I am willing to give it a chance if the companies/products are certified and legitimate.

Has anyone here used bidz.com?? Did you have a good experience? Were the diamonds/precious metals real??? They guarantee a full refund (including shipping and handling) if you're not satisfied, but is there any catch to that???. These may sound like silly questions, but I just need some feedback before I jump into anything. lol

I mean, who wouldn't want diamonds???? Now that I'm a proud owner of an engagement ring, I am obsessed with diamonds, hahaha.

Please help me. lol

I have bought from Bidz twice now. I have received a gold necklace and a black cameo which is excellent and a mother of pearl faced watch, which had a certificate available, but I didnt bother with it. The shipping was rather fast, and the quality was good. Sorry I cant help in precious stones and returns, but I thought a little advice was better then now... Good luck they make it far too easy!

I bought a ton of stuff on there, but only just recently, so I don't have any of it yet. Some of the things I got were diamonds, so we'll have to wait and see! I'm so addicted to it.

My advice would be to upgrade the shipping if you can. It's not that much more expensive, but you get it way faster. Their default option can take up to 4 weeks to be delivered. Also, it can take 3 business days just to process your order before any shipping.

Don't go too crazy bidding, a lot of the rings and necklaces come up several times a day and you can get them for less if you're willing to let one or two of them go.

I'll let you guys know in 2-3 weeks if the stones & metals are real.

I've checked out bidz.com before and while I've never bought there I will urge you to be careful if you are concerned with quality in regards to the stones / diamonds. They are "real", but very poor quality. I've yet to see a diamond on there with a higher clarity than I1. Meaning it's full of visible inclusions, no mention of cut either. IMO the diamonds look like frozen spit (poor cut, loaded with inclusions).

I'm sure their gold jewelery is fine. However you know what they say...if it seems to good to be true..., or as in most cases with precious stones...you get what you pay for. You might get a good deal, but make sure you read all the info.

I bought my wedding band from bidz.com and its awesome! We saved a ton of money, and I LOVE it! Mine said it was in the warehouse too, but its not usually there still, thats just where they bring it through customs and it stops being tracked. Mine took 5 weeks to get to me. Well worth the wait

Just wondering how much duty have you guys paid?  Some of the rings and stuff say they are worth so much.(10,000)  Have you been dinged with the duty?  I have seen some bands that i like for fh but i was worried about the duty so i haven't bid yet.

Invites are out there is no backing out now!!

I agree with this. I understand that you want to save money, but I'm sure y
